Associate EICA Engineer Redfish are excited to offer a fantastic Senior / Principal EICA Engineer opportunity in Water with a World Leading Engineering Consultancy. Due to an exciting and very successful start to AMP7 in the Water Market, the Infrastructure division is looking for a number of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) engineers to become part of their expanding team. Projects they work on include some of the following discipline items: LV (and HV) power systems, motor control centres, process instrumentation, process automation and state of the art control systems. Electrical systems modelling. DSEAR/ATEX and functional safety. Using intelligent P&IDs, 3D designs, plant visualization and virtual reality techniques. Power systems analysis software. Using our own suite of intelligent design schedules and MCC design tool. Role requirements Degree-qualified with an Electrical or ICA bias; ideally a Chartered Member of a recognised engineering institution. You will have a keen interest in the water/wastewater industry and will ideally have already spent a proportion of your career in the water or a related similar industry that can be applied. You will have a blend of leadership and technical expertise. Willingness to contribute to and develop their technical knowledge networks. Responsibilities Asset surveys and assessments, using cutting-edge technologies and techniques as appropriate. Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and ICA design work (transformers, generators, LVSB, MCC, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, telemetry etc.) including equipment and system specifications, design schedules, drawings: SLDs, BCDs, earthing, systems architecture diagrams, user requirement specifications (URS/FDS), technical design risk assessments, P&IDs, cost and programme estimations. Liaison with clients within the UK and worldwide. Support and/or lead bids, fee proposals or offers of service; development of activity schedules/work plans. Delivering projects as a part of multidisciplinary, multi-location, multi-party teams. Preparing profile-raising material such as technical papers and presentations to conferences, staff and clients. Opportunity to present your project work at company meetings or at conferences. Working with and developing new automated digital design tools.
