Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Customer Communication Pets Best will own nonmarketing customer and internal communications while driving continuous operational improvements to these processes. This will include aspects of solutions architecture and business analysis by researching and identifying new functionality and capabilities for Pets Best to define new solution requirements as needed.

The role requires strong insurance background, communication skills, process & project management experience, coupled with strong analytical and influencing skills to coalesce cross-functional alignment. The role will be the liaison with the business, Technology and cross-functional teams to execute on the communication strategy and plan.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leadership on strategy, planning, and implementation efforts related to customer communication.
  • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to determine and prioritize customer pain points and confusion in our communications that drive calls or low customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in intake to determine the LOE and prioritization and be the subject matter expert for efforts that may involve customer communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute on the communication strategy and plan.
  • Lead projects to improve foundational customer communications
  • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to develop Internal communication strategy and plan.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to lead discovery efforts, define solution scope and requirements for various efforts
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience in insurance industry or financial services OR in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED and 9 years' experience in Financial or Insurance Services
  • Experience within Financial Services OR Insurance Industry - back office experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience leading cross-functional project teams from initiation through to successful implementation with the understanding of execution and getting the task completed, while managing any risks to the delay in completion.

  • Collaborative skill set with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross-functional, matrix organization.
  • Consultative approach to solutions design
  • Strong problem-solving skills; capable of making insightful observations and creating innovative solutions.
  • Passion around creating architecture solutions & platform enhancements that make things easier for Clients and helps grow the business.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 75,,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
