AES Drilling Fluids continues to grow in market share and is strategically planning capital projects. AES is seeking a Construction Field Technician that has a strong knowledge of various areas of construction and will actively participate in assigned construction and maintenance projects in various regions of the US with a concentration in West Texas. We seek a hands on person responsible for assisting with the completion of projects, performing equipment/facility maintenance and repairs and supporting various locations as assigned. The Construction Field Technician will assist Management by completing quality work, controlling project cost, recommending and communicating changes, and leading outside service-providers and AES Drilling Fluids personnel involved in such projects. The Construction Field Technician will work a varied schedule equal to 20 days on 10 days. Because of the floating nature of the job extensive travel, up to 75%, is expected in order to fulfill necessary operational needs. Salary $80,000 + vehicle, fuel card, bonus.

Leads company employees assigned to projects, including training, communicates project expectations, plans, monitors, and reviews project work; and ensures employees understand AES policies and procedures.
Meets company operational objectives by performing assigned projects including but not limited to; materials management, construction, installation, maintenance and repair in a timely and efficient manner.
Constantly communicates all project activity, status, objectives, and timelines to manager.
Liaises with the Managers concerning project overages and budget-related information.
Accomplishes project results by assisting to define the project scope and purpose and calculating the resources required; assists with schedules and coordinates the work of company personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and/or other service providers; communicates project milestones and necessary change orders, if warranted.
Under direction of Regional Operations Manager, trains on all areas in order to master skills required to maintain future facilities mechanical, operational, supervisory and administrative needs. This will include training in all positions including but not limited to blender or plant operator, mechanic, lab, warehouse, administration and management.
Monitors personnel and contractors to ensure they adhere to safety, hazmat, DOT, MSHA and all other Company procedures, programs, policies and applicable law while performing construction or other special projects under his/her supervision.
Helps to ensure facilities and equipment are working at peak capacity and personnel is trained to ensure operational efficiencies. Proactively prevents fines and project interruptions by complying with and ensuring the enforcement of all codes and other applicable law.
Helps to ensures that all equipment and machinery is maintained in a safe and working condition and that employees are properly trained to safely utilize such equipment and machinery.
Ensures job site organization and cleanliness on assigned projects.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager.


High school diploma or GED;
At least three (3) years of prior work experience in construction, maintenance (or other relevant field), with at least one (1) year of highly-responsible lead experience is preferred.
Forklift operation certification is essential.
Current certification in First Aid and CPR and/or willingness to obtain same is required.
Ability to travel, willing to relocate for periods of time to complete projects.
Extensive mechanical knowledge is essential.
Valid driver s license and the maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to AES.
Bilingual language abilities (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel skills) and Outlook and internet research skills.
