Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Export Customer Service Support to join their office in Basildon.
- Monitor Operations shared mailbox
- Retrieve mails from the box to arrange collection and enter onto system
- Check pick up costs via cost calculator and send collection note to relevant haulier, negotiating a lower rate when applicable
- Confirm pick up date to shipper
- If the booking is via a quote add the pickup cost to the system, if an online booking without a quote add costs and sales to the booking
- Liaise with operations department checking if hazardous cargo is acceptable, and if any surcharges for oversized cargo should apply
- Should shipper advise driver has not arrived liaise with haulier to establish the issue and keep client updated
