Job Description

Role Location: Covington, GA (Hybrid)

About the role:

This posting is for a Global MES Technical Analyst. The Global MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Program is a corporate initiative for deploying a solution based on the Werum PAS-X software platforms across the Takeda manufacturing facilities (Europe, US and Asia).

Main functions of this state-of-the-art IT solution are:

  • Guide operators along manufacturing operations
  • Identify and manage materials and equipment with bar-coding technology and portable devices
  • Collect and consolidate all information coming from Automation, LIMS and ERP systems to enable an electronic batch record (EBR) and support the product release.

This worldwide project is supervised by a Global MES Team to drive the system design, development, installation, validation, support and maintenance.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for lifecycle management of infrastructure (Operating System, Citrix, Database, Docker and monitoring) associated technical specifications.
  • Oversees third party services provider to build and IQ plant MES infrastructure
  • Evaluate, test and chose next generation technologies for the MES System
  • Lead technical review meetings with the different sites. Provide guidance, execute demonstration and ensure alignment with global standards.
  • Responsible for the planning & coordination of application and system patching and maintenance
  • Deploys Takeda Custom MES functions to plant instances
  • Coordinates Global IQ/OQ and Change Management for infrastructure and application
  • Take part and/or coordinate changes to global developments such as interfaces with others systems (ERP, LIMS, CMMS, Analytics tools, ) or specific custom functions.
  • Responsible for resolution of issues/ application software bugs from project teams and escalation to the MES vendor

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or engineering
  • 2 to 3 years IT experience in Pharmaceutical, food & beverage or chemical industry required
  • Proficient in Windows Server and Red Hat operating Systems
  • Proficient in Containerization technologies (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, Helm), VMware and Monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with Databases such as Oracle and MSSQL Server
  • Solid team player, able to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities
  • Experience with GMP systems and change management process
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in English (Written/Spoken)
  • Must be able to work within a cross-functional and globally dispersed team setting.
  • Willingness to travel (Up to 25%)
