Head of Clinical Governance, Infection Control and Compliance Edinburgh £65,000 - £75,000 A leading provider of Domiciliary Care and Extra Care in Scotland are now looking to appoint a Head of Clinical Governance to their Senior Leadership Team, based in their Head Office in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. This role is pivotal to the continued growth and success of the business and as the Head of Clinical Governance you will inspire and lead to achieve clinical governance excellence and regulatory compliance. You will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities including clinical audit and the development of their quality framework. You will also be working with their operational teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance, supporting learning and continual development across their services in Scotland. Duties include but are not limited to: Clinical Governance Take responsibility for compliance with Clinical Governance, quality, policies and procedure. Be accountable for clinical departments achieving compliance to internal audits and internal and external inspections (including Care Inspectorate). Provide advice to the Directors in Scotland, management and operational staff on Quality Assurance, Systems and activities. To be proactive in all quality assurance activities within the Quality Assurance Systems across Scotland ensuring the quality of work across all domiciliary care. To act as a lead for ensuring all services are legally registered within the statutory and regulatory frameworks and are meeting the Care Inspectorate s essential standards and outcomes. Implement and gather evidence relating to service development in line with Health and Social Care Standards and the appropriate Quality Framework. To support the Director in Scotland in the delivery of best-in-class clinical governance and risk management priorities across all our Companies. To represent the company on quality, governance and safety structures and to ensure that the governance and quality strategy is embedded in all facilities. To manage the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures in line with current good practice, and to identify and advise on governance issues, as required Business Continuity Plan - supporting the development and maintaining of effective and up to date business continuity plans to increase the resilience of the organisation so that it is able to continue to deliver the critical services that the Service Users rely upon. Adverse Event Reviews - Reviewing adverse events and near misses to ensure continual learning and improvement of the services we provide for people who access our services and the staff Infection Control To manage the development and implementation of excellent infection control policies and procedures across the company. Manage, support and direct Infection Control Champions, providing training, guidance, and monitoring to each operational branch Maintain best practice with regards to infection control, responding to legislative and regulatory policy and procedures For more information or to apply now please follow the link provided.
