Housing Options Assistant Bromsgrove £25,018.40 per annum 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Our client is currently seeking a Housing Options Assistant to become part of a unique and important customer facing service within their Housing Options and Homeless Team. The role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract and will focus on assisting in the day-to-day operation of the company, providing administrative support while delivering an excellent front of house housing service . This includes dealing with prevention of homelessness, assisting with temporary accommodation, booking appointments and responding to customer queries. Their customers are diverse and often vulnerable and the role can be very challenging so the Housing Options Assistant will need to have a flexible, caring, understanding and positive approach. This post has been designed to undertake a variety of tasks in a multifunctional environment while operating in accordance with the culture of the Trust, the requirements of current legislation and the service level agreement with Bromsgrove District Council. With this in mind, the Housing Options Assistant role will include, but not be limited to: Providing general administrative duties, production of correspondence and reporting paperwork for the team Ensuring an efficient and prompt service in making and answering of telephone calls Giving timely and accurate information as requested by the team members Working with customers and visitors in a timely, friendly and professional manner Accompanying Housing Officers to assist with crisis duties on accompanied visits Booking customer appointments on MS Outlook calendar diaries Greeting customers in reception and helping with online applications Ensuring customers are at the heart of everything they do, the team are open and transparent and that we are actively listening and learning at every opportunity Prior housing experience is not needed to apply for the Housing Options Assistant post; instead they are looking for candidates with: A compassionate and open-minded approach to all customers, from all backgrounds Previous experience with MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook Previous experience in a pressurised, deadline-focused environment Strong communication and administration skills In return, you will be offered: 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays and holiday buy back scheme Pension Scheme they offer a Defined Contribution pension, administered by the Social Housing Pension Scheme Employee Assistance Programme Mental Health First Aiders Healthcare Cash Back Scheme Retail Discounts Free Parking and Free Refreshments Life insurance is also available to members of the pension scheme EDI is a very important part of their culture and they operate as both a Disability Confident employer and follow the Rooney Rule.
