About the Organisation

The organisation is a successful not-for-profit, GP-led organisation providing various NHS community and primary care clinical services to patients across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. They have evolved as a NHS healthcare provider since 2004 and in the last few years have grown significantly, now employing around 300 staff with a turnover of c. £16m. The organisation holds GMS contracts, as well as being a GP Federation representing c. 50 GP practices covering approximately 650,000 patients.

The Role

This is an interesting and varied operational hands on role providing you with the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of HR areas within a small HR team. Working closely with the Director of HR and OD to ensure day to day HR services are delivered, managers are supported with change management plans, and progressing the new People Development Strategy.

You will have strong experience of providing generalist HR services including recruitment and employee relations, and ideally some exposure to TUPE. A track record of working in a busy HR department would be helpful, as would confidently providing managers with up to date advice and support on various HR matters. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding and application of new employment legislation, and have or are actively working towards CIPD qualifications. Advanced IT skills are essential.

Main Duties

In this role you will:

  • Provide an operational HR service covering a wide range of HR matters e.g. workforce planning, retention and development, employee relations including TUPE and in contributing to and implementing employment policy and practice.
  • Provide support to the Director for HR & OD in the implementation of the People Development Strategy and in establishing HR/workforce information systems and reports.
  • Provide support on improving the company's recruitment activity and developing its approach to sourcing and selection, in order to attract and retain high quality people and to ensure that on-boarding and induction arrangements are delivered consistently and appropriately.

Salary & Benefits

  • Circa £33,000 per annum dependent on experience
  • Hours are flexible, minimum of 30 per week, maximum 37.5 per week Monday to Friday. A job share would be considered.
