Inclusion Manager Preston, PR4 Full time, 8:20am - 3:30pm ASAP start date I am recruiting for a Inclusion Manager for a GOOD secondary school in Preston (PR4). It would be temp to start off with but may become permanent for the right candidate. Its Mondayto Friday, 27.5 hours per week (school day hours). You would be working in a team of 2 within our Referral Room working closely with students that have been removed from their lesson. I have listed the JD/Person Spec so you have a better idea of what the role entails. Responsibilities: Supervise pupils excluded from class or those following alternative timetables Oversee support packages for pupils to reintegrate them into school following periods of exclusion / absence Liaise with teaching staff to assess and provide particular support to targeted pupils to raise achievement and enable them to overcome barriers to learning Work one-to-one with targeted pupils to implement action plans to improve their behaviour and/or attendance Work with students and parents/carers to support good attendance and reduce persistent absence Follow up lack of response to first day contact and other contacts by home visiting or meeting parent/carers in school Work with subject leaders on linking attendance to achievement and attainment, with particular support for SEND students and students in targeted groups Liaise with teaching staff and Learning Co-ordinators to provide support for students who are engaged in distance learning Co-ordinate the preparation reports on exclusion, referral and attendance for the senior leadership team and governing body Ensure maintenance of accurate and factual records which could be used in evidence in legal interventions and assist the senior leadership team in completing paperwork for these interventions as required. Person Specification: Essential GCSE qualifications at grade C or above (or equivalent) in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics Relevant experience working with students The ability to communicate confidently and effectively using a range of methods The ability to work on own initiative, organising workload effectively and meeting deadlines. Excellent ICT skills including the ability to format letters, reports and other documents and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel) The ability to handle sensitive or confidential information in an appropriate and secure manner A flexible approach to work Excellent organisational, administrative and record keeping skills Desirable Experience of using SIMS and/or School Synergy Experience of working with students in a school environment Experience and knowledge of requirements and procedures relating to school attendance First Aid at work training (or willingness to undertake appropriate training and carry out this role) The school are looking to interview and trial ASAP, therefore if you apply today, then your CV will be sent directly to the school for consideration.
