£25k per annum + bonus

I am recruiting for an Inside Sales professional to join a reputable and recognised logistics organisation in the Northampton office, who will be there to support the Business Development Managers with administrative support, developing new sales opportunities through outbound telephone activity and email communications working with both existing and prospect customers.

You will need to possess excellent customer relationship experience, enjoying the engagement with new customers and be proactive with customers to develop new relationships and account manage and recognise opportunity for new revenue streams with existing clients.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Targeted outbound telesales activity to develop opportunities and gain new customers.
  • Supporting administration for new accounts and the onboarding process for new customers.
  • Gain client feedback which will enable the business to improve their service offering and enhance customer relationships
  • Promoting and upselling the full range of services
  • Co-ordinate effective sales campaigns and supporting the activities outlined in the sales plan
  • Dealing with all sales queries highlighted by the customer of Business Development Managers
  • Raising quotations and following up and negotiating sales quotations
  • Investigation of invoice queries
  • Generating leads for telesales activities
  • Conduct market research for the industry for sales activities
  • Supporting Business Development and Sales Managers with client visits, trade shows and promotional events
  • Attending monthly meetings with the internal and external sales departments
  • Provide administrative support to the Inside Sales Supervisor, Sales Manager and Business
  • Development Managers

Key skills required for this role

  • Experience of working within an inside sales role or within a relationship building role
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships
  • Can handle objections and be proactive to rectify any queries
  • Prior experience working within supply chain or logistics would be advantageous but not a necessity
  • Must be results driven and comfortable working towards targets and KPI's
