What does a Lab Technician Do?
Our entry-level scientific lab-based positions are split between three sub-titles, Synthesis, Purification, and Formulation. The Lab Technician II synthesizes, purifies, and/or formulates custom oligonucleotides according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the customer's order. Automation and daily tasks vary by department.
What do we require?
Associate's (2 year) degree
OR a High-School Diploma (GED) + Lab Manufacturing Experience
What skills does the ideal candidate possess?
Safety/Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
Must be able to work around chemicals, and other substances
Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time is required, including but not limited to safety toe footwear, gloves, safety glasses, goggles, and/or face shield, and lab coat.
Chemical departments may require the use of a respirator.
Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) conducts drug screens and background checks on applicants who accept employment offers.
