The team on site in London are to provide a building maintenance service and carry out repair works on behalf of Acorn. Summary As the Lead Engineer you will have responsibility for consistent and clear communication to the client on site ensuring they are regularly updated as to the maintenance team s activity. You will liaise with sub-contractors and ensure they fulfil their obligation in carrying out agreed works and provide updates to the client at the time of their site attendance. You will take responsibility to prioritise the workload and ensure that the team report back accurately and succinctly to yourself and the client. You will oversee the site team of staff to ensure corrects working as required by the client reporting to your line manager any discrepancies. Role & Responsibilities To ensure all reactive works are dealt with in a timely manner and ensuring the client is updated on all aspects (whether via you or by the assigned engineer) through to completion. To ensure that the maintenance, servicing and repair works are carried out in accordance with Acorn, current H.V.A.C. standards and any relevant legislation. To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and other Acorn personnel in order to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business. The job holder will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently, and to work supportively within a team. To carry out various task on behalf of the site and Facilities Manager. Attend to call outs during normal working hours. Punctual site attendance, wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued. Submitting clear, concise and accurate reports to the client of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required on a daily bases. Submitting daily / weekly accurate reports and timesheets. Communicating with Contracts Managers on job progression including a weekly meeting. Communicating with the Contracts Manager on sub contractor and specialist engineering visits. Daily reactive reporting Attend regular site progress meetings with the manager and customer Oversee regular building inspections as per daily / weekly / monthly inspections to ensure areas are tidy and well maintained (i.e. store rooms, lighting) in designated area Adapt accordingly to any required changes to the operation of the service delivery as required by the client. Person Specification Senior Technician a senior tech with a proven track record of managing static sites Good communicator Electrical (18th edition), Testing & Inspection qualification, plumbing C&G s up to level 2/3 or C&G mechanical & electrical Experience with resolving technical issues Supervisor experience
