Work within a world-class Product Development team, responsible for new product design and validation for the UK s market-leading commercial vehicle manufacturer. Our client is the centre of medium duty truck expertise within the global PACCAR corporation, and a team of approximately 120 engineers are responsible for the LF vehicle model. The role Leading the Power Unit Installation team in the development of systems including air intake, fuels systems, AdBlue systems, shielding etc. to support the market leading DAF LF product Coaching, co-ordinating and developing design staff Grow technical expertise within the group Develop, co-ordinate and execute plans in collaboration with major unit suppliers for current product problem resolution as well as new product development Analyse and sign off supplier s technical proposalsExperience and Qualifications Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification Good communication and presentation skills In-depth knowledge and experience of trucks Knowledge of powertrain support systems Proven engagement with six sigma and continuous improvement techniques Strong interpersonal skills Strong leadership skills including supplier interaction and management Ability to work independently, proactive exhibiting drive and initiative Strong planning and organisational skills Ability to multitask Experience with leading a team of engineersSalary - £50k per annum We Offer You will work in a professional, innovative and safe environment with a lot of autonomy and responsibility.
