Allyn International is currently looking for a Logistics Team Leader to lead our small team in Pensacola, Florida. Allyn is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992. The On-Site Logistics Team Leader is responsible for managing the department s day-to-day operations, having an immediate impact on business fulfillment, client relations, and the achievement of long-term departmental goals and objectives. This position works with the Logistics Manager to ensure that standard processes and relevant metrics are in place, and are used to improve customer service, reduce or contain transport costs, and increase the productivity of the department. The Logistics Leader has primary responsibility for prompt issue resolution and acts as backup to the Logistics Manager.

Compensation: $45,000.00-$55,000.00
Hours of Work: Regular business hours, Monday-Friday

Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor s or equivalent college degree
International logistics experience preferred: transportation, customs, warehousing, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, political nuances

Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate cargo routes in accordance with legal and customer requirements.
Communicate the cargo routing process with clients, freight forwarders, and customers.
Issue resolution and shipment responsibility
Initiation of Claim against Logistics Service Provider if needed
Claims Status Tracking and Follow Up with LSP for Claim Reimbursement; Retention of Applicable
Invoicing Information for Damage Repair and Coordination with appropriate individual(s) for Cost Recovery/Accounting Information
Obtaining spot quotes for lanes or loads that aren t contracted
Manage escalations
Oversee day-to-day operations
Training for internal team members or external customers / suppliers
Training and support for client and external users of TMS system (ALA/OTM)
Act as back up to the Logistics Manager as requested
Facilitate prompt issue resolution and oversee issue resolution within department. Timely forward suggested corrective actions or issues needing additional attention to the Logistics Manager
Distribute workload efficiently among department team members
Run standard reports and metrics on a regular basis. Analyze and review findings with Logistics Manager
Ensure client satisfaction
Manage on-call shift for department team members
