We need a real 'hands on' Operations Manager with a flexible but honest approach. In addition to this: We will value your opinion and give you the autonomy to complete the role We offer genuine potential for career and personal development The UK has a small but passionate team, we work hard, and help each other Key facts about our operation: Operations Manager - Adhesives / Chemical Manufacturing Circa 200 SKUS Stock value of circa £1 Million OTIF 90% 1 shift operation - Monday to Thursday 06.00 - 17.00 (Hours for this role Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30) Warehouse management system - Sage JOB DESCRIPTION: Operations Manager - Adhesives / Chemical Manufacturing As the UK Operations Manager your key responsibility is to ensure the seamless receivership and delivery of products to customers. Reporting directly to the UK General Manager you will make up part of the senior management team and act as a sounding board on all key issues. In addition to this you will also: Lead continuous improvements in the resources required and ensure processes are in place in Safety, Quality, Environment, reliability, and efficiency on the site Oversee the day-to-day activities and notify the GM or other Managers of any issues that arise Manage a team of 2 direct reports (Production Manager and Maintenance Engineer) & 11 indirect reports Working closely with the technical and commercial team, lead and manage the introduction of new products into the manufacturing plant Be an active and collaborative member of the senior management team For us both to be successful: Operations Manager - Adhesives / Chemical Manufacturing Ultimately, you will have already been a successful Operations Manager, someone who above the normal requirements, enjoys playing an active role in the business. Someone who is driven by their love for developing the people who report to them and uses data to influence and aid decisions. You will be enthused by variation and wearing many operational hats. It is likely you will have previously managed a manufacturing site with a t/o of circa £5-£10m, worked with a variety of outsourced providers (3PL) and managed a broad supply chain. INTERESTED?
