This reduced cost is simply deducted out of their payslip over 12 months. You will be responsible for providing Presales technical support to the Sales and Technical teams in order for our client to successfully close new sales and successfully expand existing solutions through upgrades of HPC cluster installations for Commercial & Public Sector customers as part of a small but Presales Team. In this role it is expected the candidate will very quickly be working directly with the Presales Team, Sales Team and Sales Director to assist in the scoping, design/architecture and costings of Solutions. The role will enable you to learn how to provide effective presales architectural & financial support to ensure customer experience is positive, in return you will advance your own skills and capability in this field. Ideal candidates will be confident in front of peers and customers and be articulate and eloquent when discussing or presenting solutions, hands-on experience IT Industry experience is a bonus however this is not essential. The role will be based in the Sheffield office for a number of days per week and may include visits to customer sites to understand customer challenges and discuss or present potential solutions either individually or with one of the sales team. Travel (both national and international) to training and business conventions may be required to fulfil the role. Our client works with advanced technologies from world-leading tier 1 vendors including Dell, Fujitsu, IBM, Lenovo, NVIDIA to customers across the Automotive (including Motorsport), Aerospace, Defence, Higher Education, Research and Energy sectors therefore a passion for technology and interest in scientific discovery would be very beneficial. Responsibilities: Providing solution design and assurance for the sales team on some of the largest compute and storage installations in the country Working with customers to solve their HPC and data storage problems Responding to tenders and RFPs through the writing of detailed proposal documents Owning the technical side of a sale throughout the sales cycle Staying abreast of the latest developments in technology Maintaining knowledge of future technologies, supported through NDA briefing from Tier 1 vendors Maintaining certification through training and education programmes Progression Our client is a rapidly growing business therefore we support employees who show an interest or flair for specialities within our technology fields, and you will be given the opportunity to develop into either a more senior member of the Presales team or should you wish to develop your skills outside of this department and move into other departments providing our customers with excellent service then this will be supported.
