About the role:
As a Regional Business Manager, you will work as a member of a sales team to find new opportunities for continued growth. This will include providing industry-leading payment solutions to prospective clients, which include small- and medium-sized business.

Area you will be covering: Shropshire

What you will be doing:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets aligned to overall company objectives

  • Actively sell a number of different WorldPay products to new SME customers with annual CTO turnover up to £1m CTO, within a defined territory

  • Identify cross selling opportunities

  • Build professional relationships across your local business network, joining business forums and attending business events

  • Generate new business and proactively manage pipeline of leads within area through a range of relationships and networking within your defined area

  • Develop monthly strategy and business plan for innovative ideas to attract new business and extend market share

  • Build and maintain a network of introducers, ensuring WorldPay is first choice for all referrals

  • Utilise tools and technology to find and make contact with local prospects

  • Apply the FIS sales methodology technique in order to identify customer needs, propose solutions, negotiate and agree best terms possible for both company and customer

  • Complete appropriate paperwork with customer adhering to legal and compliance policies and standards, and right first time' guidelines

  • Understand and develop local relationships and knowledge of territory, use local knowledge to fuel self generation of leads.

  • Be able to feedback on local trends including, competitor insight, customer needs, sales and lead information, product and marketing requirements

  • Support Regional Director with induction of new team members, sharing best practice and buddying when required

  • Drive revenue growth in line with pricing policy

  • Work with customer service and boarding teams to resolve customer queries and ensure a seamless service for the customer

What you will need:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of sales experience including research, discovering needs, recommending solutions and solving business problems.

  • Excellent needs development, solution selling, negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment

  • Keen to learn about the industry and a genuine appetite to learn about how a merchant operates

  • Self-starter who requires minimal oversight but who will contribute to team performance

  • Ambitious, career-oriented, with a professional outlook and high integrity

  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to challenge if unsure

  • A full, clean driving license

Added bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience of a consultative selling methodology

  • Understanding of the payments market

  • Technically Savvy and able to explain in detail how our solutions work
