Assystem is an International Engineering Consultancy with significant growth plans within our Energy and Infrastructure business here in the UK. Our Defence Infrastructure business are strategic partners to the MOD delivering significant infrastructure programmes across several defence critical sites, including some of Europe's largest marine bases. As Assystem's Defence business grows, we are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Requirements Manager to join the team. The post will be based from any local AEIL office with visits to clients site in Scotland up to 3 days per week. The Requirements Manager is a specialist role with systems engineering. The Requirements Manager is responsible to the Requirements Lead for establishing efficient and effective processes, procedures and templates for Requirements Management, Test & Evaluation and Acceptance Processes, including their integration processes and procedures. Role Details: Job title: Requirements Manager Location: Flexible working with visitis to clients site in Scotland Hours: 37 hours Sector: Nuclear and Defence Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain a robust Requirements Engineering Methodology. Maintain the requirements management database software. Liaise with the Design teams, Safety teams and other stakeholders as directed to ensure a common understanding of requirements management is communicated at all levels of the delivery team. Lead the requirements management process as an intelligent customer to elicit the Stakeholder Requirements, gaining approval and endorsement from the appropriate stakeholders. Formally capture Customer changes in Engineering and Safety Case requirements within the Requirements Management Documentation in a formal and controlled manner. Assure that the management of the verification and validation of requirements has been properly executed to a defined process. Provide assurance that the Designer's governance arrangements for compliance with requirements. Support the Project Engineering Manager in resolving issues associated with requirements. Liaise with the Designers to ensure that Technical and Design Specifications are correctly derived from the System Requirements, that the requirements are met by the design solution, and that the trading of requirements is conducted under change processes. Propose and derive relevant non-functional requirements. Develop a close working relationship with the Project Safety Case Manager to provide confidence that the Safety Function Requirements are being properly integrated and managed. Support the analyses of risks and opportunities associated with requirements Support a culture of collaboration and openness across the organisation. What we are looking for in our Requirements Manager: It is necessary for the job holder to have a strong background in the portfolio, Programme and project level management of requirements on major capital projects from the initial capture phase through to the validation of requirements at the handover to an operational organisation Have a strong commitment to governance and compliance. Have experience transitioning a project from an existing incumbent organization. Be expert in requirements, documentation and design evidence traceability. Have experience of interface management. Have experience of major infrastructure programmes. Desirable Experience of the nuclear and defence sectors. Design and Build project knowledge. Security clearance This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country
