Berkmann Wine Cellars are proud to be the largest family owned and family-run wine importer in the UK. We've been selling premium wine to restaurants since 1964 and our expertise has grown along with our portfolio of award-winning wines from around the world including Antinori, Ridge and Vega Sicilia. The wineries we represent are like us - progressive and fiercely independent.

The Role

To help further our success and accomplishments we are actively looking to appoint a Sales Account Manager in the East Sussex / Brighton region. We encourage you to apply if you have experience selling wine or spirits to the on-trade. You must be passionate about wine and its provenance and be someone who can live and tell the stories behind the labels. A commercial background is essential, loving wine is not enough. You will be an ambassador, representing Berkmann Wine Cellars and its agencies in the U.K. on-trade sector. You will also have responsibility for implementing brand activity plans.

Whilst this is a full-time role it isn't a 9-5 job; it will be hard work and you will need to be tenacious and entrepreneurial. You will be managing customer expectations, running promotions and hosting tastings, all with a view to building a portfolio of customers, who like us, love and can appreciate good wine. There will be sales targets to hit but we offer a generous remuneration package in return and have a great company ethos.

If you can demonstrate the below, then we want to hear from you:

  • Have good on-trade wine sales experience
  • Have a strong background in wine, a WSET Level 2 (minimum)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer facing role in the on-trade sector
  • Hold a UK driving licence
