Your new role Sandwell Metropolitan Borough are looking for a full time Senior Lead Officer/Senior Practitioner/Assistant Team Manager to work across Adults Social Care Hospital team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are flexible, innovative and have a proven track record of partnership working, with a can-do approach. You will supervise a Hospital intermediate team on a one to one basis, giving case direction, handle conference calls for the NHS and authorise assessments, you will also have responsibility for the day to day running of the service. We are currently in the progress of implementation of the D2A process and it is very busy.. You will be one of 6 managers who will support the Team Manager within the 7-day Hospital intermediate care team. You will work from various locations and will ensure the timely discharge of people from hospital or intermediate care settings. Weekend working may be required in the role. You will supervise staff on a day to day basis, work in partnership with NHS and the CCG and will have a strong customer focus. What you'll need to succeed To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
