SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: This class is responsible for working within the PWC Information Systems application portfolio to lead business technology initiatives. This requires a strong functional knowledge of Oracle applications to lead the analysis of business requirements to develop system solutions. Knowledge of Oracle ERP is a plus along with any combination of Oracle EBS, WAM, C2M, MWM, BI, or GIS. Responsibilities include application production support, problem resolution, developing code modifications, leading system upgrades, design, testing and hands-on development in applications, interfaces, reports, workflows and forms. Responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to, planning, prioritizing, and coordinating installations, upgrades, configurations, testing, performance optimization and systems analysis. This position will provide technical solutions to business problems by identifying needs and requirements as well as development of the appropriate technical solution. The position also provides developing estimates on software design, development, and testing activities. The position will assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting performance issues and executing production changes. The Sr. Oracle Applications engineer operates under the supervision of the IT Manager, Enterprise Applications. Extended hours and on-call availability are required. Driving/operating vehicles may be required in performance of work assignment/responsibilities. Performs other related work as required.


Thorough knowledge of full-cycle implementations for a utility (Power/Water/Sewer) with hands on Functional and deployment experience in Oracle C2M.
Working knowledge of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
Working knowledge of Oracle C2M, Data Model, web services & BPEL services
Working knowledge of the CIS systems and meter to cash functionality to effectively design the C2M functionalities.
Good knowledge with process integration of C2m with other utility enterprise and operational systems such as core WAM, EBS, MDM, Sensus RNI, etc.
Good knowledge of US (Regulated and De-Regulated) Markets
Skilled with interpersonal communications both oral and written and analytical ability
Skilled in MS Office Suite tools
Skilled with troubleshooting including ability to identify and assess risk to determine action.
Ability to be part of a development team, working with the business, and leading through the project life cycle
Ability to run the functional workshops with business for C2M/C2M requirements
Ability to conduct the demos during the functional workshops using the C2M/C2M product
Ability to map the customer requirements into the product and suggest workarounds/solutions for the requirements
Ability to develop functional design documents from the Functional specification documents and configure the C2M package to meet requirements for projects in this area
Ability to capture the configurations required for the product and create a configuration document for the developers
Ability to guide, mentor, and review the end-to-end solution and perform issue resolutions during support /Post-Go Live phase
Ability to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested
Ability to be a team player and with the expectation to help the project team with any functional issues that may arise during the project
Ability to be customer focused and manage client expectations
Ability to plan and oversee day-today activities independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with Oracle applications, primarily EBS, WAM, MWF, MDM, C2M, BI and Hyperion. Previous experience in utility, telecom or other related industry; Previous experience implementing and supporting CIS solutions and project manager experience a plus.


(A) Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a BS/BA degree in a computer science/engineering, information technology, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience supporting an applications environment, preferably with Oracle ERP applications and experienced in full life-cycle software projects OR

(B) Graduation from an accredited two (2) year college/technical school with a degree/certification in a computer technology, information systems technology or related field and a minimum of nine (9) years progressively responsible experience as defined in (A) above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.


PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: As required in the Public Works Commission s Safety Manual.
