Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to join their organisation and be part of their expanding and diverse team. The client plays an integral part in the sectors that is serves, providing solutions and data that can help save lives, prevent hazards and streamline functionality. This role would be ideal for someone able to apply cutting edge data analytics techniques to solve real-world problems. This role provides the opportunity to work in diverse environments Aerospace, Defence, Security, Government & Infrastructure (Energy, Water, Transport). You will be responsible for leading, nurturing and growing a team and ensuring an outstanding quality of delivery across a diverse mix of client projects. The client offers flexibility in relation to location and has offices situated in London and the multiple offices in the South they are also happy to consider flexible and home working arrangements As the Technical Delivery Manager for this product team, you will be accountable for a small, but growing, team of data engineers, part of a wider global development team comprising developers, data scientists, data engineers and UX/UI specialists. You will sit on the senior leadership team for the project and represent your team to the wider business; building relationships and technical know-how as you go. You ll get involved across the entire engineering lifecycle, developing, delivering, and supporting the cutting-edge solution as it rolls out to their global portfolio The Technical Delivery Manager sits in a leadership role; a background in either software development, systems integration, data science, or data engineering is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have authority for decision making and strategic direction of the technical build, but would also expect them to problem solve on detailed technical topics when required. This is an important role in rapidly evolving part of the client s business and would be ideal for someone that can Head the team to build and deliver a complex software product leveraging and applying advanced analytics and data models within an Agile project environment. Provide technical leadership and direction for the multi-disciplinary development team, ensuring tactical decisions consider the wider product strategy and architectural needs. Be accountable for the technical solution to dependent workstreams, including Sales, Deployment & Adoption, Operations, ITS & Security. Advocate for technical innovation within the team and the wider organisation, ensuring their AI and ML software solutions remain cutting edge. Facilitate problem solving on technical subjects encountered during development. Accountable for delivery to quality, time and budget requirements and in accordance with their business processes adopting and improving procedures across QA, CI/CD, release management code review and beyond. Work with the Product Owner and Deployment & Adoption teams to develop and implement the service management lifecycle process. Collaborate across their business to ensure the right resources and skills are provided to enable successful solution delivery. Engage with clients, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure their requirements are considered and prioritized correctly. Ensure risks and opportunities are managed effectively. Mentor technical leads in the team and ensure they in turn guide junior technical staff to aid their development. This would ideally suit someone that has a track A track record managing the delivery of technology solutions, including hardware & software integration, to time, cost, and quality, with a keen eye for risk and opportunity management. Rounded, full life cycle experience from requirements and design through to testing, deployment, and through-life support, with experience of managing suppliers when needed. Proven experience of Agile team management balancing resource demands and constraints to meet Agile project schedules, motivating and leading the team as needed to achieve the product vision. A depth of knowledge in all or some of the following: Data science, data engineering and data modelling. Microsoft Stack (Azure), cloud architecture, UML, SOA, microservices. Systems engineering methods and approaches.
