Overview of Division/Department

Our Global Transaction Banking Department (GTBD) is responsible for promoting global transaction business by providing cash & trade solutions to customers in Asia Pacific and Oceania region including Japan. The division undertakes promotion activities such as business planning, marketing, sales, development and training in the region mainly to Japanese & non-Japanese customers, branch staff, government agencies, banks and IT vendors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leading various projects to enhance trade digital solutions required by region and country in Asia Oceania, coordinating with internal stakeholders including head office in Japan
  • Understand the key IT system and digital capabilities and matching them with client requirements and defining what needs to be build and developed for Trade
  • Preparing the Business Requirement Documents for various enhancements to the trade platforms within Mizuho
  • Working with internal IT teams and IT vendors to covert the business requirements into functional requirements so that the new requirements could be built into the systems.
  • Conducting UAT for the platform changes and getting stakeholder approvals
    Be the Subject matter expertise in functional requirements and defining screens GUI for Trade online banking capabilities including client experience on digital portal.
  • Liaison between the operations/ end users and technology team
  • Roll out of Trade platform in the region and associated activities such as
  • Garnering 'new product' committee approvals,
  • Creating template agreements
  • Training teams on the new digital product capability
  • Hand-hold the country team on the first 5-10 deals, before the BAU team takes over
  • Providing system support post-live.
  • Identify changes in the market trends within Trade and keep the product suite updated based on the new trends, particularly in Digital Trade space
  • Conduct training programs on trade systems and digital products.
  • Maintain good relationship with the various IT and operations teams.

  • Job Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills; someone who can work with various stakeholders and meet his/her responsibilities
  • At least 5 years of Product Development experience working with IT teams / IT vendors to develop Trade IT systems / Trade Online Banking capabilities.
  • Good understanding of core trade products and good grasp of trade related guidelines (Uniform codes, ICC guidelines)
  • Has experience of onboarding of Digital solutions for the bank, including platform
  • Minimum of 12 years of banking experience with trade related experience
